Words cannot describe how excited I am about posting this for you all. I really like doing smoothies with my trim health mama eating plan but I really wanted more of a dessert taste than a smoothie taste. I tried a few different recipes I found online and then thought I should just try to make one myself! I’m going to be honest with you, it took me a few tries to get this right. The first time is was too chalky and the next time it was too watery. I think the consistency is perfect for a milkshake taste and definitely makes it feel like you’re having dessert for breakfast (or whenever you eat it). So without further ado, here is my recipe for Trim Healthy Tuesday- Trim Healthy Chocolate Shake!

Get out your blender and mix together your ricotta cheese, almond milk, water, protein powder, vanilla extract, and stevia. Once well blended, add your ice cubes and xanthan gum. Watch it’s magic as it thickens and grows! Kick back and enjoy drinking your faux milkshake. It’s tastes amazing AND is super healthy for you, too! What a win!

Trim Healthy Chocolate Shake (FP)

½ cup ricotta cheese (LOW FAT)

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

¼ cup unsweetened almond milk

dash of vanilla extract

8-10 drops stevia liquid (sweetener)

¾ cup water

8 ice cubes

½ teaspoon xanthan gum

Mix your ricotta cheese, protein powder, almond milk, vanilla extract, stevia, and water together in your blender. Once well mixed, add your ice cubes and xanthan gum until well blended and to the thickness you desire. Enjoy!
